At the Hook and Glove we serve draught beers from local breweries, and a very extensive and reasonable wine selection.
We regularly host evenings with travelling food vendors including Tony’s Frying Fish and Chips van, Slinky Fox pizzas, Hulks Meats, and Travelling Thai.
There’s a Quiz every 4th Thursday, and we’re open on Bank Holidays (closed Mondays).
There is a large car park, two petanque pitches which can be booked free of charge for private parties, space for tying up horses (we have our own resident Shetland driving pony who loves being visited by his equine friends), a beautiful safe fully fenced garden with open views at the back, and a “watch the world go by” front garden.
Dogs are made welcome throughout the pub and back garden.

All in all this really was what a traditional English Sunday roast should be and what a fantastic setting, a real country pub set in a real country village but within easy reach of Salisbury.
Superb lunch, great service and lovely location, I would recommend visiting this pub if you live in Salisbury or visit the area. We go there most weekends with the kids.
I’ve been to this pub on several occasions and am never dissapointed. The food is always presented beautifully, huge portions and the menu is regularily changed.
