A friendly Wiltshire village pub
THE HOOK
& GLOVE, Farley

Muddy boots, dogs and bikes
About our pub
The Hook and Glove, a short and pleasant drive from Salisbury, is set located in Farley, one of the prettiest villages in Wiltshire.
We are dog friendly in both the “snug” bar and the restaurant area and we guarantee to make a fuss of our canine visitors.
Farley is unique in having a large Christopher Wren inspired church (which is open to visitors) and the stunning Grade 1 “Farley Hospital” built at the same time.
A footpath from the pub opens directly onto open fields with lovely varied walks (including bluebell woods in the spring). We have two log fires in the winter.
You can be assured of a very warm welcome and friendly, informal atmosphere.

Good beer and proper food
an award winning restaurant
Our restaurant is consistently highly rated and has won awards. We have a changing daily menu with all food cooked to order.
- Light lunches, ciabattas, sandwiches, bar snacks and soups are available in both the snug bar and the restaurant.
- The fishmonger calls daily and our meat is sourced from the New Forest and local Wiltshire butchers.
- Our shortcrust plate pies are hand made by a local family team, with varied fillings (steak and kidney, wild boar, chicken and asparagus are among the more popular).
- As well as our daily changing menu, we always offer three Sunday roasts with all the trimmings.
- Our portions are generous so we do offer smaller helpings to suit smaller appetites.

Lots of space to socialise
OUTSIDE
We have a very sunny large front "watch the world go by" terrace (although it's a very quiet road to watch!) and a large garden in the back.
To the rear we have a beautiful fenced garden with far reaching stunning country views, safe for children and dogs, a petanque pitch (free of charge) and a large terrace for those who prefer to enjoy the view away from the hustle and bustle.
We have visited the hook and glove for many years bringing business colleagues, from around the world, friends and family, each and every one has always complimented the service, staff and food supplied at the Hook and Glove, telling us how fortunate we are to live in such a lovely village and to have this on our doorstep and being so close to visitor attractions in the Salisbury area.
